MDReady reads an export of your SAP material master and gives you back a prioritised list of what will break — with your own part numbers against every line. It runs on your machine. Nothing is uploaded, because there is no code in it that could upload anything.

What it checks
- Missing base unit of measure
- Missing material type
- Missing description
- Duplicate material numbers
- Order unit that differs from the base unit
- Batch-managed materials with no batch detail
- The same part under two different numbers
- Variant families sharing one description
- Missing material group
- Missing lead time
- Descriptions that are really instructions
- Materials still flagged for deletion
- Net weight with no weight unit
- Material numbers over 18 characters
- Stray whitespace that breaks interfaces
It tells you what fixing it takes
Severity tells you how bad something is. It doesn't tell you what to do about it, and the two are not related — two equally serious findings can be an afternoon's work and a six-month programme. So every finding is also labelled:
- Safe to bulk-update — blank fields whose values can be derived for whole groups of materials and loaded.
- Needs a decision — somebody who knows the parts has to settle each one. Most findings live here.
- Blocked while stock exists — SAP will refuse the change until the stock is run down. A project, not a data load.
And it says the thing nobody else will: the report is not a file to load back into SAP. A material number with open orders against it must never simply be deleted — that creates exactly the shortage you were trying to prevent.
What it does with your data
- Nothing leaves the machine. There is no network code in the application. Run it with the cable out and it behaves identically — that is the recommended way to satisfy yourself.
- Nothing is written to disk unless you export the PDF report and choose where to save it.
- Nothing is kept. Close the window and the analysis is gone. No database, no history, no telemetry.

Two things to expect
Windows will warn you. The installer isn't code-signed yet, so SmartScreen shows "Windows protected your PC". Click "More info", then "Run anyway". If you'd rather not, that's a fair position and we'd rather you took it than felt talked past.
It's a big download. The application carries its own copy of Microsoft .NET so that nothing has to be installed on the PC and no permission has to be requested from anybody.
Then what?
Most of what MDReady finds is work someone has to do before a migration, and almost all of it is cheaper now than at cutover. If you'd rather not do it by hand, that's the job we do — fixed price, agreed before we start. And if you just want to run the tool and never speak to us, that's genuinely fine too.
